Senior Consultant

Key Responsibilities
Senior Consultants are responsible for managing and supporting work streams and supporting the engagement manager in virtually every aspect of a project: Project definition, general hypothesis generation, framing of research requirements, interview guide development, market sizing, data gathering, synthesis and analysis, final recommendations, executive summary, story board and presentation of report––written and oral.

Senior Consultants are expected to become increasingly “independent” in terms of the work they can perform and to increasingly mentor more junior staff “on-the-job” as they become more seasoned and experienced. They are expected to develop and perform significant “upward” management of project managers (usually Principals) in terms of setting expectations for delivery and meeting those expectations.

Desired Experience
MBA from a leading business school

Masters or undergraduate degree in technology-related discipline, or in relevant business fields like e-commerce, media, and entrepreneurship.

3 years’ minimum experience in a technology company, e-business, and/or in a consulting environment (preferably strategy over operations)

The Senior Consultant’s Role
Senior consultants drive the direction of our projects at The McKenna Group. We work in small teams, typically smaller than average consulting teams. Our senior consultants take on managerial roles within a project team much earlier than you might expect elsewhere.
